As
the challenge of securing more minority lawyers increases, law firms are now seeking new methods in attracting candidates.
As a 10-year former Dean of Law Admissions for four law schools, many of the strategies I used in recruiting students for
law school have been directly applied to attracting lawyers for firms.
It is my pleasure
introducing the "Strategies in Recruiting Minority Lawyers" professional
development workshop. The workshop is designed to provide effective strategies in locating and recruiting minority candidates
for law firms.
During the 1-hour workshop, we
explore: - developing extensive diversity pipelines with law schools
(including Deans, Career Services
Directors, Campus Organizations, Alumni and Admissions Personnel)
- working
with minority academic and professional organizations
- establishing outreach with
law schools, as well as HBCUs and HSIs
- creating effective publications for a targeted
audience
- using technology in corresponding with prospective minority
candidates
Workshop cost: $600* (Currently
offered only in CA. Please call 661.945.4522 for pricing and availability if you are out of the state of CA)
*revenue from the workshop provides application fees, tuition
and book scholarships for underrepresented students of color applying to law school.
The workshop, which is conducted at the law firm, provides
an opportunity to have a discussion about developing effective strategies in a competitive legal market. In addition, the
workshop can be tailored to points of
emphasis which would best serve the law firms.

this workshop for your law firm, please contact us by sending an e-mail to info@shropshiregroup.org or by calling us at 661.945.4522.
